Blast #10 – King David

King David

Blast #10 – The Picture Bible – 310-341

It’s King David Week!

We all want to have children that are “after God’s own heart,” right?  We desire for them to be faithful, resourceful and courageous. This week, we see that David had all those characteristics, yet he still sinned against God.   God shows us in his Word that it’s not possible to be the parent of a sinless child. We are reminded this week that our merciful God welcomes back those who sin, but come back to Him with a repentant heart. However, the mess the sin left still has to be made right. This is where we come in as parents!  We can show our children through the Word that God forgives them when they mess up, and then encourage them to move on with Him! With kids, the messes inevitably come, but we can point them to the One that is always there to help clean them up. This week, use David’s life to help your children see that God still loves us and has a good plan for our lives even when we mess up.
